My Mission is “To promote healing and foster growth – maximizing the potential for healthful living, through trusting relationships with individuals and families.”
Building a comfortable relationship is the key to effective treatment. I use a variety of therapeutic models and a warm, yet appropriately challenging style to help my clients reach their real goals. Some of the problem issues I work with are depression, anxiety, stress management, adjustment reactions to psycho-social stress, phase of life issues (giving birth, death, launching children), retirement, and grief.
Couples are treated in the same supportive style as my individual clients. This process begins with a mutual understanding of problem areas. Treatment typically involves an approach using models of healthy relationships to promote healing. Besides helping couples strengthen their relationship friendship, I also work with couples in pre-marital therapy, divorce therapy, and infidelity.
Families are treated in the same supportive style as individual patients. Beginning with a mutual understanding of problem areas, I guide families through treatment using models of healthy relationships and therapy methods to promote healing and trust. Extended sessions for enhanced family therapy are additionally offered upon request for weekend appointments.
